Before you choose
Check-in is 4 PM; check-out is 11 AM. Each dome has its own outdoor area, hot tub, and pool. The wider 15-acre farm is shared with other guests, farm animals, and our groundskeeper, so expect natural farm sounds, including morning roosters.

Why Go Glamping in San Marcos?

Our glamping domes sit on a 15-acre working farm at 4602 South Old Bastrop Highway in San Marcos, Texas — between Austin (about 45 minutes) and San Antonio, minutes from downtown San Marcos and Texas State University.
How far is the glamping site from the San Marcos River?
About 15 minutes. Tubing outfitters on the spring-fed San Marcos River are a short drive away, and the Meadows Center glass-bottom boat tours at Spring Lake are roughly 12 minutes from the farm.
What's included in a glamping dome stay?
Every dome includes a king bed, private bathroom, private hot tub, cowboy pool, kitchenette, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and heating. The Haven accommodates two guests; The Jungle and The Stargazer each accommodate up to four with a king bed and pull-out couch. The Stargazer's pull-out couch is full-size.

Can I book the domes without going through Airbnb?
Yes. Choose a dome to view its photos and details, then enter your dates and guest count to check availability and the total price, including fees and taxes, before booking directly with The Farm Texas.
Are the glamping domes pet-friendly?
Yes. The Haven, The Jungle, and The Stargazer all welcome pets. The pet fee is $100 per stay for each dome. One pet is allowed per stay. A second pet requires approval before arrival, with no additional pet fee. Please include your pet when booking and keep pets leashed around our farm animals.
